LEAF’s mission is to promote human and economic development by providing financing and development assistance to cooperatives and social purpose ventures that create and save jobs for low-income people. We achieve this goal by providing financing and development assistance to cooperatives and social purpose ventures in three sectors: 

-Low-income community housing developments 

-Community-owned healthy food initiatives that create high quality jobs and support local farms and businesses 

-Community-based organizations and worker cooperatives that create jobs
