The Urban Sustainability MA (USMA) at Antioch University, Los Angeles provides learning opportunities for students to meet and transform the world’s challenges of climate change and inequity. It is a 18-month program that offers an educational home of like-minded students, faculty, and community partners who work and learn together in a hybrid, hands-on, cutting edge program. Through fieldwork placements and capstone projects students enhance their professional skills, develop meaningful relationships in the field, and build self-confidence in their ability to make change. During residencies we collaborate with organizations to engage in real world system transformation. Our urban centers can be just and sustainable places with powerful communities, educators, advocates, and agents of change leading their visions. USMA believes that the best of learning to transform our communities takes place by doing and then reflecting on our work.
